Goal
The goal of the School Resource Officer (SRO) program is to protect students and reduce the incidences of juvenile crime and delinquency. The SRO program is currently comprised of five officers, two officers at the Fayetteville High School, one officer at Ramay Junior High School, one officer at Woodland Junior High School, and one officer at ALLPS School. They also provide services on a call-by-call basis to all other schools in the district.
The program brings a variety of police services directly to the school in addition to classroom presentations, mentoring and personal contacts to approximately 10,000 students on a daily basis.
